Hello! My name is Zara and I am a McGill student looking for a job in childcare. I live in the St. Henri neighbourhood but am able to commute. I love working with kids and I am currently in school working towards becoming a middle school teacher! I have extensive experience with kids in an educational setting and I’m more than happy to offer tutoring services along with childcare.

For three years I independently taught a middle school drama class, which is included lesson planning, teaching, and managing the class all on my own. I also was an after-school and camp volunteer with a stem program in my city, during which I taught and led activities for ages 4-10. Otherwise, I have experience in babysitting kids ages 0-9 in my family and community.

I love working with kids! I feel that I am unique from other childcare providers due to my enthusiasm and creativity. I love to converse with, play with, and entertain kids. Outside of student teaching, I do improv, which I think has lent to me being very well liked by kids, as they enjoy my big energy and ability to keep them entertained in creative ways. As well, due to my experience I am well versed in ensuring order and structure with kids. All of my first-aid and CPR training is up to date, I have taken the course multiple times to ensure my certification remains valid.

Lastly, I am more than happy to do meal prep and cooking tasks. In high school, I ran my own baking and catering business and had clients within my community who had me bake and cater for special events. I have lots of experience in the kitchen, even with little kids, as I cook for my 8 year old brother quite often and he will say that his sister makes the best food.
