Introduction
Hello! I'm Thuba, age 23 from South Africa, and I would love to spend a year as an au pair starting January/February 2027.
I have a full year of au pair experience in Munich, Germany, caring for three children aged 8, 10 and 12. It taught me how to run a busy household, from school runs and homework to meals and play, and how to build a genuine bond with each child at a different stage.
I'm a huge family person. I grew up in a loving, supportive family and watched my mother pour her love, care and empathy into her own children and the children around her. My goal as an au pair is to share that same love, care and tenderness with another young soul. I've also helped with Sunday school and the young preteens group at church, which taught me to guide children with patience and gentleness.
I especially enjoy being a "big sis" and mentor to preteens, whether that's through schoolwork, friendships, discovering their talents, or simply being someone they can rely on.
The way I see it is that they are in such a wonder stage in their lives. They are just discovering who they are going to be in the world and I want to be there alongside them, helping them discover their potential!
I'm currently studying an online degree in AI and business and hope to develop a career in this field once my Au Pair year is complete.
I look forward to immersing myself in a new family's AND country's culture, learning from your ways of life, and sharing my own traditions and background.
