Introduction
Warm greetings from Kenya! ????
My name is Ivyne, and I am a 24-year-old Kenyan who is excited about the opportunity to become part of a loving and welcoming family as an au pair.
I am currently in the final stages of completing my Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery. My studies have strengthened my passion for caring for others and taught me the importance of patience, empathy, responsibility, health, and safety. I believe these qualities are especially valuable when caring for children.
A Little About Me
I would describe myself as a kind-hearted, patient, responsible, respectful, and open-minded person. I enjoy helping others, learning new things, and creating meaningful connections with people. I believe that every child deserves to feel loved, understood, encouraged, and safe.
I am a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, and my faith plays an important role in shaping my values and character. I believe in kindness, honesty, compassion, and treating everyone with respect, regardless of their background or beliefs. I observe the Sabbath from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset and would appreciate a family that respects my worship time. I am also vegetarian, but I am comfortable living with people who have different dietary preferences.
My Childcare Experience
I have over five years of informal childcare experience through caring for my younger siblings, babysitting relatives' children, and helping with children's activities at church.
These experiences have allowed me to interact with children of different ages and personalities. I have learned that caring for children requires more than simply supervising them; it involves understanding their needs, listening to them, encouraging their curiosity, and helping them grow into confident and happy individuals.
I particularly enjoy spending time with younger children, especially those between four and seven years old, although I am comfortable caring for children of different ages.
My background in Clinical Medicine has also helped me develop a greater awareness of children's health, hygiene, and general well-being.
Why I Want to Become an Au Pair
For me, becoming an au pair is much more than an opportunity to travel. It is a chance to experience a different culture, learn a new language, build lasting friendships, and become part of a family while doing something I genuinely enjoy—caring for children.
I would love to share my Kenyan culture, traditions, and experiences with your family while learning about yours. I believe cultural exchange helps us become more understanding, adaptable, and appreciative of the world around us.
I understand that welcoming someone new into your home requires trust, and I would do my best to earn that trust through honesty, responsibility, good communication, and genuine care for your children.
What You Can Expect From Me
As your au pair, I would strive to create a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for your children. I would be happy to support their daily routines, engage them in age-appropriate activities, encourage learning through play, and assist with childcare-related responsibilities.
I also believe in respecting family rules, communicating openly, and working together to ensure that both the children and the family feel comfortable and supported.
Although I am still learning foreign languages, I am enthusiastic about improving my language skills and adapting to a new environment.
My Availability
I am currently completing my studies and hope to join a host family in 2027. I am flexible about my starting date, depending on my academic commitments and the necessary visa arrangements.
A Final Note to My Future Host Family
I am not simply looking for a place to stay abroad. I am hoping to find a family with whom I can build a genuine connection, share everyday experiences, learn, grow, and create beautiful memories.
I understand that every family is unique, and I would be happy to learn about your routines, traditions, expectations, and the things that make your family special.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and get to know me a little better. I would be delighted to hear from you and hopefully become a caring, dependable, and positive presence in your children's lives.
Warm regards,
Ivyne
