My name is Stephanie, I’m 24 years old, and I’m from Kenya. I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, and I’m now looking for an opportunity to become an au pair and experience life with a family in a new country.

I would describe myself as caring, responsible, patient, curious, and easy to get along with. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures, which is one of the things that makes the au pair experience so exciting to me. I value communication, honesty, respect, and creating a peaceful and welcoming home environment.

Through university and my professional experiences, I’ve developed strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. I’ve worked with students, clients, and members of the public, which has taught me to be patient, attentive, adaptable, and responsible when interacting with people with different personalities and needs. I’m comfortable taking initiative and making sure the people I’m responsible for feel comfortable, supported, and included.

I’m particularly interested in becoming an au pair because I want to experience another culture from a more personal perspective. Rather than simply visiting a country as a tourist, I think living with a family would allow me to genuinely experience their traditions, everyday life, food, language, and way of life. I would also be very happy to share my own Kenyan culture, traditions, and experiences with your family.

I speak English and Spanish fluently, and I’m currently learning French and German at beginner level. I’ve always been interested in languages and would be excited to continue improving my language skills while living abroad.

In my free time, I enjoy music, baking, travelling, watching films and series, discovering new places, and spending time with friends and family. I also have a creative side and love baking for people, so I’d be happy to introduce your children to some of my favourite treats from Kenya or bake something together as a fun activity. ??

As an au pair, I would want to be more than someone who simply helps around the house. I hope to become a trusted and positive presence in your children’s lives — someone they can have fun with, talk to, learn from, and feel comfortable around. I understand that every family has different routines, expectations, and parenting styles, and I would take the time to understand and respect yours.

I’m also excited about what I can learn from the experience. Living in a new environment would be an opportunity for me to grow personally, become more independent, meet new people, and build a meaningful relationship with a host family.

Most importantly, I’m looking for a family where we can treat each other with kindness, openness, and respect. I would love to find a family who is willing to welcome me into their home and culture, while I contribute positively to their everyday life.
