Hello! My name is Jessa, and I am from the Philippines. I am 25 years old and a Bachelor of Secondary Education graduate majoring in English. I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming your au pair and hopefully becoming a part of your family. I want to become an au pair because I love being around children and have a genuine desire to experience life in a new culture. As a Licensed Professional Teacher in the Philippines, working with kids is my true calling. My hands-on teaching internship and my experience doing private tutoring in our barangay have taught me how to be patient, structured, and attentive to a child's learning and emotional needs. Beyond my professional background, my love for kids is grounded in my family life. I have always loved playing with my cousins and my niece, which has taught me how to connect with children of all ages on a personal, everyday level. For me, looking after children is never just a job; it is about building a real, supportive bond.
At the same time, I am deeply excited about the cultural exchange. I don't just want to visit a new country as a tourist; I want to live the culture from the inside out, improve my language skills, and understand the local way of life. I am also eager to share my own Filipino background and traditions with a household.
Stepping out of my comfort zone to move abroad is a big step, but I feel fully ready. I am an active, reliable, and adaptable person. Outside of teaching, I love cooking, hiking, and swimming, and I would be thrilled to bring that energetic, hands-on spirit into a family's daily routine—whether that means preparing a nice meal, organizing fun outdoor activities, or just keeping the kids active and engaged. Ultimately, I want to grow as an individual while making a meaningful, positive impact on the family I join.
